Tax and Shipping Information
On all orders that are delivered to a California address we are required by law to collect California sales tax of 8%. When we ship to all other states, there is no sales tax.
All purchases are shipped from our downtown San Luis Obispo Store by USPS or UPS to arrive within 3-14 business days from receipt of your order.
We charge a flat rate for shipping within the United States that is $6.95 for any shipment that is less than $35.00 (before sales tax is added) and all orders higher than $34.99 have free shipping in the USA.
Please allow up to 2 business days to process, and pack your order.
Orders are shipped on business days only. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays.
Your package comes from our downtown San Luis Obispo store so if you are in Canada or any other country we normally ship to (Japan, Switzerland, England, The Netherlands, Germany or France) your shipment may be stopped for inspection at the border by customs authorities. Normally this delays shipments for varying amounts of time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but delays of this nature are out of our control.
Normally shipments to other countries takes between 12 and 24 days.
Normally we are never “Out of Stock” since we make it fresh for you,
however, we may be out of or delayed in getting our superior quality raw materials. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this type of delay is out of our control.
Order Cancellation And Changes
If your order has been processed but not shipped yet and you need to add something to your order call us during business hours (805-781-0501) and we will add the item and charge the same credit card you used in the original order. You can also e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do the same. Please have the order number ready when you call.
If you would like to cancel the order entirely after it has been processed but before it has been shipped, there is a restocking fee of $1.00 (one dollar).
Normally we do not automatically track shipments for you but if you need to track your shipment please e-mail us at email@example.com and we will provide the tracking number for you.
If you need to ship orders to multiple addresses you can call us for specifics. We are happy to ship this way and gift wrapping is free. However, if any address has less than $35.00 worth of products we will charge our standard shipping charge for each shipment below that amount.
If something is wrong or missing from your order please call us at 805-781-0501 during business hours or e-mail us (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your order number. Our top priority is to complete the order correctly and to your 100% satisfaction so please let us know of any problems and we will do our very best to solve it.
If you would like to return any item please send it back to us at Heart’s Desire Soap Co., 787 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 within 30 days. This shipment will be at your expense. Please include a copy of your order and we will refund the cost of the item to the credit card that was used on the original order minus a $1.00 (one dollar) restocking fee. (If you are planning to be in our Pismo Beach Store or SLO store in the near future we can also send you a gift certificate in that amount that you can redeem in our stores.) If, by removing the item you want to return from your order, the order totals less than $35.00 we will charge a shipping fee of $6.95 on the original order.

If you have used an item that you did not like for any reason you may return the unused portion within 30 days to us at the address above (at your cost) and we will refund the cost of the item (plus any sales tax you may have paid) Please let us know if you would like to exchange the item for something else.
